School starts Monday and we can’t wait to see the kids! Below are a few reminders to help make our first day of school a success.
Please closely monitor your child daily for symptoms of COVID-19. If your child, any member of your household or person they have been exposed to are exhibiting symptoms, please contact the school nurse prior to coming to school. Symptoms include, but are not limited to: fever or chills, cough, headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, new runny nose or congestion, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, and/or sore throat. People experiencing these symptoms should not attend school and must call the school immediately to report illness, or close contact with a person with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Symptoms identified by the CDC frequently change and will be adjusted accordingly.
Students are strongly encouraged to wear a mask on the school bus, during transitions, and when unable to social distance.
The first bell will ring at 7:45 and school will start at 7:50.
Free breakfast will be available for all students as they unload from the bus or parent drop off. Students will eat breakfast in the homeroom/first hour class.
Parents will drop students off in front of the school utilizing the drive through. Please remain inside your car. Due to COVID restrictions parents are not allowed inside the building this year to walk students to class.
Parent pick up has also changed this year to allow for social distancing. All students K-12 who are picked up will be grouped by family in the old gym and will be called as their ride arrives in front of the old gym/music department entrance. Please remain in your car. You will receive your family’s hang tag at pick up on Monday afternoon. Please remember to remain in a one-lane line up Plato Drive as you wait to pick up your students.
We are looking forward to seeing your child Monday!
