Jobs for America's Graduates, or JAG, is a school-to-career program implemented in 1,000 high schools, alternative schools, community colleges, and middle schools across the United States and the United Kingdom. Plato is one of those schools, and we are excited to offer this opportunity to our students this year.
The Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (GO CAPS) immerses high school students in professional environments. Profession-based Learning
Instructors develop real-world, project-based learning strategies through collaborations with business and community partners. These interactions enhance the learning experience, preparing students for college and career.
As a developing professional learning community, we envision a school in which staff:
*Seeks and implements promising strategies for improving student learning on a continuous basis
*Works collaboratively, taking collective responsibility.
*Focus on evidence and progression of student learning.
Here are the dates for the GOCAPS orientations for this school year. Students who plan to be in GOCAPS must attend an orientation in their chosen strand:
Middle School $35
High School $50
Fees are not to exceed $100 per family
Students participating in sports at Plato High School or Plato Middle School must have a sports physical on file. A physical examination should be completed by a duly licensed medical practitioner, is now good for two years, and must be on file at the school athletics office before the first day of practice.
