Join the Plato Board of Education in welcoming our new superintendent, Mr. Bradley Cooper.
Meet Mr. Bradley Cooper:
Over the course of the past ten years as building principal, I have had the good fortune to work closely with staff members, to be a part of the lives of families, and to interact with stakeholders to promote community betterment. These experiences have helped me focus on a vision for educational success, and I am tremendously thankful to have the opportunity to bring this vision to the Plato community.
I started my teaching experience in August 2008, as a fifth and sixth-grade teacher at Dent-Phelps R-III. During my time at Dent-Phelps, I was privileged to move into teaching one of my great passions as a junior high science teacher. I enjoyed my time as a science teacher and was honored when the district asked me to transition to building principal. In 2013, I was offered the elementary principal position at Licking Elementary. While in Licking, I have enjoyed growing and learning with an amazing staff. I have had the privilege of partnering with our team to evolve and endure during the COVID crisis and through the many challenges the pandemic has delivered.
Lifelong residents of south-central Missouri, my family and I own a farm and home in Licking, the same community in which my wife and I were raised. In 2004, I married my wife, Tammy, while we were both pursuing our degrees in elementary education at Southwest Baptist University. In 2014, we were blessed with our son, Peyton. We are so proud of our amazing and kind young man. In 2019, we happily became a family of four by welcoming our daughter, Dalis. We are equally proud of our strong and independent little girl. As a family, we love camping, biking, and hiking. We have traveled to many states and love spending time exploring new places in our RV.
I am grateful for the opportunity the Plato R-V School Board has bestowed upon me in my upcoming position as superintendent. I know that this position will offer many opportunities to grow in collaboration with the Plato staff and Board of Education. I look forward to getting to know the Plato staff, students, and community.
