Barton, Angela

Angela joins Plato High School to teach American & World History, Government and Leadership Classes.  She will also be coaching Lady Eagle volleyball and basketball as well as becoming the Student Council sponsor.  Mrs. Barton received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Abilene Christian University, a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Missouri State University and a Masters in Education/Activity and Athletic Administration from Southwest Baptist University.  She grew up in West Plains where a majority of her extended family still resides.

Angela has been a coach for over 25 years at all levels of play.  She was a college volleyball player and track and field athlete at the collegiate level.  Most recently Barton coached volleyball and track at Licking High School, and prior to that, was at Reinhardt University where she received Coach of the Year honors her first year as a collegiate coach.
Angela and her husband Larry (LB) reside in Salem and own Scenic Rivers Taxidermy.  They have five children and three grandchildren.
