Frieda Smith runs the Learning Lab, servicing a wide variety of classes through online educational programs, Acellus and Launch. She also teaches MO Option, and monitors dual-enrollment college classes.  Smith has been a teacher at Plato since 2001. She has a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice from Drury
University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from William Woods University.

Smith is a mother of two; a son, Jeff, who works in Federal Law Enforcement and lives in Oregon, and a daughter, Belinda, an Insurance Producer living in Cabool, Mo, as well as a step-mother to Casey, owner/operator of Casey’s Tree Service of Mountain View, MO. Ms. Smith is the proud grandmother of 10, ranging in age from five to twenty-one.
