The district shall provide the address of the trauma-informed website developed by DESE to all parents before October first of each school year (section 161.1050, RSMo) once developed.

Nancy Studzinski has been the elementary counselor at Plato since 2009. Prior to that she served as the counselor for Success R-6 School District in Success, Missouri for 7 years. Ms. Studzinski obtained a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s in Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She began her career as a school psychologist in Clark County School District (Las Vegas) and Northside Independent School District (San Antonio, Texas). She transitioned into counseling in Sierra Vista, Arizona and then Missouri.

Ms. Studzinski found her passion in the field of counseling and loves working with children of all ages. Being at one school and getting to know her students, their families, and colleagues is one of the most gratifying parts of her work. Ms. Nancy, as the students call her, also enjoys providing weekly guidance lessons in the elementary classrooms, conducting groups and individual counseling, consulting with teachers and being a part of the Wonderful Wednesday Team. This team consists of her, the secondary counselor, Donald Atterberry; the school based therapist, Desiree Malam. This team works together to address the mental health needs of our school community. They work on state mandates and initiatives and implementing effective programs for students and staff.
Ms. Nancy has been a Missouri resident for 19 years and is the proud parent of a Plato graduate, Lindsey. Lindsey is currently attending MSU, Springfield.
