📣 For the State Track meet this weekend, Plato fans need to buy either or both the May 20 "Day 1" pass and the May 21 “Day 2” pass. It looks like MSHSAA is selling the Class 1 and 2 tickets together, so please note that you would just need to buy the pass or passes for the day or days you plan to attend.

Parking: We will have people in place to direct/assist with parking.
We have limited bleacher seating, but will also have good space for lawn chairs.
Our field IS NOT on our school campus, please share these directions with your community: Enter MLH and Sons Excavating, CR 103 into GPS, when you get to this business go a short distance and fields will be on the left.
FYI, MSHSAA have reserved the turf field at Forsyth in case we would have weather. #platorv

Parents and Community Members, due to the last day of school being changed from Wednesday, May 25, to Friday, May 20, some of our planned elementary events have been rescheduled and/or canceled. Thursday, May 19 will now be the Awards Ceremony at 9 AM in the Old Gym. Parents are welcome to attend. Friday, May 20th, the 4th grade field trip will proceed as planned. Also on Friday, Kindergarten and Preschool classes will host their graduations. Preschool’s will be at 10:30 in the New Gym, and Kindergarten’s at 12:00, also in the New Gym. The annual Kindergarten Box Car Race will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the softball field (weather permitting). Parents are welcome to attend Friday’s events. School will dismiss at our normal Friday dismissal time of 2:35 p.m. The AR field trip scheduled for Monday, May 23 at the Springfield Botanical Gardens has been canceled. The Fun Field Day scheduled for Tuesday, May 24 has been canceled, however students will participate in a modified, shortened version of the activities on Thursday afternoon, May 19. #platorv
As most of the community is aware, the Plato High School Softball team will be competing in the Missouri State Final Four Tournament beginning on Monday May 23, 2022 in Springfield. In order to accommodate the community’s vast wishes to be in attendance in support of our hometown team the school calendar has been amended. Our school district has already met the minimum attendance hours required by the State of Missouri for the year. Therefore, Friday, May 20, 2022 will be the final day of school.
Some of the upcoming activities will be moved to accommodate these changes. Most events will still occur even though our final day has been adjusted. Please expect information to be posted about such events swiftly.
There will be a send-off event for the softball team on Monday. Details will be shared at a later time. Ticket prices and details on how to purchase tickets will also be shared with the community soon. #platorv

On Monday, May 16th, the 5th graders visited the Science Center in St. Louis, but first they had a picnic lunch in Forest Park. #platorv
5th grade and 1st grade reading buddies shared a final day of sharing books. It was a beautiful day for reading in the pavillion. #platorv
